작가는 바다에서의 경험을 바탕으로, 인간의 내면이 파도처럼 흔들린다는 점에 주목해 유리 조형물로 형상화하는 작업을 해왔다. 이번 '내면의 파도'는 흔들림을 억제하기보다, 흔들려도 무너지지 않는 내면의 균형을 표현하고자 오뚝이 구조에서 착안해 안정적인 형태의 유리 오브제를 제작한 작품이다.

  Drawing from their experiences with the sea, the artist has created glass sculptures that capture how the human mind sways like waves. This piece, The Waves Within, focuses not on suppressing that swaying, but on expressing an inner balance that sways yet never breaks, inspired by the self-righting design of a roly-poly toy.
