호우-때 맞추어 내리는 비.

내 작업에서 유약의 흐름이란 단순히 액체가 위에서 아래로 이동하는 현상 이상의 의미를 가지고 있다. 나는 자유로움과 통 제됨을 동시에 가지고 있는 흐름의 성질을 이용하여 의도 된 느슨함을 작품에 담고자 한다.

기물을 만들고 그 위에 유약을 입히는 과정에서 높이, 두께를 조절함으로써 흐름의 정도를 의도할 수 있다, 하지만 고온 소 성된 기물의 표면에 흐르는 유약의 모습은 정확히 통제하 기 어렵다 그것은 얼핏 실패인 결과로 볼 수 있지만 나는 오히려 이런 결과를 적극적으로 받아 들인다.

흐름이 가지는 우연과 통제, 물성의 조화를 바탕으로 이루어진 의도된 느슨함이 작품을 보는 관객 또는 사용자에게 편안함 과 즐거움으로 다가갔으면 한다.

In my work, the flow of glaze is more than just a phenomenon in which the liquid moves from top to bottom. I want to capture a sense of intentional looseness by drawing on the nature of flow, which holds both freedom and control at the same time.

During the process of forming the vessel and applying glaze, the degree of flow can be guided by adjusting the height and thickness of the piece. However, once the vessel is fired at high temperatures, the movement of glaze across the surface becomes difficult to control precisely. While such results may initially appear as failures, I instead choose to actively embrace them.

What emerges from this process is an intentional looseness shaped by the balance between chance and control, and by the harmony of material qualities. Through this approach, I hope that the work offers viewers or users a sense of comfort and quiet enjoyment.
